Jennifer Nettles, known for her role in The Exorcist: Believer, has secured a spot in Blumhouse TV’s upcoming action horror series, “The Bondsman,” set to stream on Amazon’s Prime Video. In this thrilling series, Nettles will star alongside Kevin Bacon, portraying his character’s ex-wife.

“The Bondsman” revolves around Hub Halloran (played by Kevin Bacon), a rural bounty hunter who, after returning from the dead, is granted an unexpected second chance at life, love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career. However, he soon discovers that his old job now has a demonic twist.

Jennifer Nettles takes on the role of Maryanne, Hub Halloran’s ex-wife. Nettles, who recently appeared in Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer as Miranda West, adds her talent to the cast.

The series is the brainchild of Grainger David, known for his work on The Chair, who also serves as the executive producer. Showrunner and executive producer Erik Oleson, from CrimeThink, will guide the series. Oleson, renowned for his role as showrunner on Prime Video’s “Carnival Row” and “Daredevil” Season 3 on Netflix, brings his expertise to the project.

Kevin Bacon, a veteran in the horror genre, with notable roles in Friday the 13th, Tremors, Flatliners, Stir of Echoes, and Hollow Man, stars in this Blumhouse production. Having previously worked with Prime Video on “I Love Dick,” this marks Bacon’s second collaboration with the streaming platform.

“The Bondsman” is a collaboration between Blumhouse and Amazon, with Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Chris Dickie from Blumhouse TV serving as executive producers. Paul Shapiro, representing CrimeThink, is also an executive producer, with Bacon contributing as both the lead actor and executive producer.

Amazon has ordered eight half-hour episodes of “The Bondsman,” adding to the list of collaborations between Blumhouse and Amazon, which includes the horror dramedy “The Horror of Dolores Roach” that premiered on the streaming platform last summer. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new series.
