Three titans of horror are joining forces for “The Monkey,” an adaptation of Stephen King’s chilling tale. Produced by James Wan and helmed by Osgood Perkins, this project promises to be a spine-tingling addition to the genre.

Originally featured in King’s 1985 collection “Skeleton Crew,” alongside other classics like “The Mist” and “The Jaunt,” “The Monkey” is a short story that has left readers shivering for decades.

According to Deadline, production on “The Monkey” has officially wrapped, and the full cast has been unveiled. Here’s everything you need to know:

Theo James, known for his role in “The White Lotus,” leads the cast, joined by Tatiana Maslany from “She–Hulk: Attorney at Law,” Elijah Wood of “Maniac,” Christian Convery from “Sweet Tooth,” Colin O’Brien from “Wonka,” Rohan Campbell from “Halloween Ends,” and Sarah Levy from “Schitt’s Creek.”

Penned by Osgood Perkins, who also directs the film, “The Monkey” follows twin brothers Hal and Bill as they stumble upon their father’s old monkey toy in the attic. However, their innocent discovery triggers a series of horrifying events, leading to gruesome deaths all around them. As they attempt to rid themselves of the sinister toy, the brothers find themselves torn apart by growing tensions. But when the killings resume, they must come together once more to confront the malevolent force lurking within the monkey.

In addition to Perkins, James Wan serves as a producer alongside Atomic Monster partner Michael Clear, as well as Jason Cloth and Dave Caplan from C2 Motion Picture Group.

With this formidable lineup of talent, “The Monkey” promises to deliver thrills and chills that will haunt audiences long after the credits roll.
