‘Fall 2: Deadpoint’ Rating Reveals a New High-Altitude Horror Nightmare
The nightmare of falling is back — and this time the danger reaches new heights.
Fall 2: Deadpoint, the upcoming sequel to Lionsgate’s survival horror hit Fall, has officially received its MPA rating ahead of its theatrical release.
Arriving in theaters on September 2, 2026, Fall 2: Deadpoint has been rated PG-13 for “strong language, some violent content/bloody images and drug material.”
The sequel moves away from the original film’s location and introduces a new group of characters facing another terrifying survival scenario.
Harriet Slater (Tarot) leads the cast alongside Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) and Tom Brittney (Greyhound).
Directors Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig (Predestination, Jigsaw) are behind the sequel, working from a screenplay by original Fall writers Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank.
The official synopsis teases an even more extreme survival challenge:
“From the survival hit that tapped into the fear of heights and left friends stranded at the top of a tower comes a climb that goes higher, gets deadlier, and hits with next-level adrenaline.”
In Fall 2: Deadpoint, two friends travel to Thailand to attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan. But after a sudden rockslide leaves them trapped on a fragile platform thousands of feet above the ground, they must battle the elements — and their own fears — to survive.
The story follows Jax (Slater), who is struggling after the death of her sister Hunter. Seeking closure, she teams up with Hunter’s fearless friend Luce (Thomas) for one final adventure.
When the journey turns into a deadly fight for survival, Jax must overcome her grief and confront the terror waiting below.
A third installment in the franchise has already been announced, with Scott Mann returning to direct.
The original Fall became a surprise box office success in 2022, earning $18 million worldwide while turning the fear of heights into a tense big-screen horror experience.
