Five months ago we informed you that High Stake Entertainment announced their upcoming horror film, ‘Down Below,’ with Eric Roberts confirmed to headline the chilling tale set on Christmas Eve. The announcement, was initially reported by Deadline.

Directed by Spyder Dobrofsky, ‘Down Below’ promises to deliver a psychological horror experience that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Alongside Eric Roberts, the film also features the talents of Hutch Dano and Christopher Livingston in supporting roles.

According to Deadline, ‘Down Below’ revolves around a young sheriff and a criminal suspect whose lives intertwine when they both become ensnared by a malevolent force on the fateful night of Christmas Eve. Roberts portrays a highly intelligent police psychologist who grapples with a challenging patient—a police officer recently suspended for a violent act committed against a civilian.

Today we learn that Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect and Project X) will portray the leading lady in “Down Below” — “Karisma”, a high-paid escort in a small seaboard town who finds herself communicating with ghosts from the afterlife.

International Superstar Bai Ling (known for her breakout role in Red Corner, as well as Jason Statham’s Crank: High Voltage, and The Crow) is portraying Thorn, a ruthless Madam of an underground prostitution ring.

Horror Icon Doug Jones (Hellboy, and The Shape of Water) is portraying the character, Lester, the details of which are still being kept under wrap.

Additional cast members are set to join “Down Below,” including breakout South African actor Greg Kriek, making his debut in this year’s “Rebel Moon.” Joining him is Luke Mullen from Disney’s “Andi Mack” and David Steen, recognized for his portrayal of Mr. Stonesipher in “Django Unchained,” along with roles in “Reservoir Dogs” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Jaclyn Albergoni, known for her recurring role in “Three Women” alongside Shaileen Woodley, is also part of the ensemble.
