‘Don’t Move’ Trailer Unleashes a Massive Arachnid Horror
Whatever you do… don’t move.
The official trailer for ‘Don’t Move’, a terrifying new creature feature from “Impractical Jokers” star James “Murr” Murray, has arrived, teasing a deadly battle between a group of survivors and a prehistoric arachnid predator.
The film will premiere at the Midland Theater in Kansas City on September 8 and the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on September 9, before arriving in theaters on September 11.
Based on the 2020 novel of the same name by James Murray and Darren Wearmouth, Don’t Move is directed by Maclain Nelson (Vamp U), who co-wrote the screenplay with Murray and Wearmouth.
The story follows a church group whose annual retreat turns into a nightmare after they wander into a dangerous section of the Ozark wilderness. As members of the group begin disappearing one by one, suspicion falls on Ricky (Russell “Russ” Vitale), the troublemaker among them.
But the real threat is hiding deep within the forest.
Wrapped in a massive web-filled lair, a terrifying prehistoric spider creature begins hunting the group. Unlike traditional predators, this creature tracks its victims through vibration—meaning every footstep, movement, and mistake could be their last.
With the group’s survival hanging by a thread, Megan (Lyndsy Fonseca) must keep everyone together and find a way out before they become the monster’s next meal.
The film stars Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass), Russell “Russ” Vitale, and Tom Cavanagh (The Flash), alongside Hunter King (Life in Pieces), Rob Riggle (The Hangover), and Joseph Lee Anderson (Young Rock).
The cast also features appearances from T-Pain, Matt Biedel, and Impractical Jokers stars James Murray and Brian Quinn.
While the trailer only offers a glimpse of the creature itself, Murray has teased a monster inspired by the terrifying isolation and survival horror of films like ‘The Descent.’
“It’s like an alien,” Murray previously said of the creature. “It moves like an alien. It doesn’t think as we do. There’s no reasoning with it.”
Describing the film’s horror, Murray explained that the creature represents a threat that cannot be understood or negotiated with—a true force of nature that turns the wilderness into a deadly hunting ground.
With a relentless monster, a trapped group of survivors, and a simple rule for staying alive, ‘Don’t Move’ looks ready to deliver a classic creature feature nightmare.
