‘School Spirits’ Season 4 Confirmed: Paramount+ Renews Hit Supernatural Series

Paramount+ is keeping the afterlife alive. The streamer has officially renewed School Spirits for Season 4, confirming that the hit supernatural mystery will continue its eerie run after a strong showing in its latest season.

Season 3, which premiered on January 28 and wrapped on March 4, leaned even harder into its horror roots. Episode titles like “The Halls Have Eyes,” “Children of the Scorned,” and “Dawn of the Deb” made it clear the series isn’t afraid to wear its genre influences on its sleeve—and fans loved it.

One of the biggest highlights this season? The addition of horror icon Jennifer Tilly (Chucky), who stepped in as Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price, a no-nonsense superintendent bringing serious tension to the already supernatural chaos.

For those new to the series, School Spirits follows Maddie (Peyton List), a teen trapped in the afterlife who begins investigating her own mysterious disappearance. What starts as a search for answers quickly spirals into something much darker, as secrets pile up and the line between the living and the dead begins to blur.

Season 3 pushed that tension further than ever, diving into a deeper mystery where the veil between worlds becomes increasingly unstable—unleashing new threats and revelations that changed everything.

The response has been massive. The latest season currently holds a perfect 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside an 83% audience score—proving the show has struck a chord with both horror fans and mainstream viewers.

Alongside Peyton List, the series features Kristian Ventura, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Wedell, Josh Zuckerman, Ci Hang Ma, Miles Elliot, and Milo Manheim.

Created by Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud, School Spirits debuted in 2023, with Pretty Little Liars veteran Oliver Goldstick serving as co-showrunner.

With Season 4 now officially on the way, expect even darker twists, deeper mythology, and more unanswered questions from beyond the grave.
