Neon Eyes Queer Horror ‘Leviticus’ From Talk to Me Producers

Fresh from its world premiere at Sundance, Neon is in talks to acquire the Australian queer horror film Leviticus.

According to Deadline, the deal for global rights (excluding Australia and New Zealand) is valued at around $5 million.

The film stars Joe Bird (Talk to Me) and Stacy Clausen as star-crossed teenage boys who must escape a violent entity that manifests as the person they desire most—each other.

Mia Wasikowska (Crimson Peak) marks her return to screens after a three-year break, joined by Jeremy Blewitt, Ewen Leslie (The Nightingale), and Davida McKenzie (Silent Night).

Leviticus is the feature debut of writer-director Adrian Chiarella, with production by Samantha Jennings (Talk to Me, Bring Her Back), Kristina Ceyton (The Babadook, Talk to Me), and Hannah Ngo.

Leviticus is a strong debut with an incisive voice at the helm,” wrote Meagan Navarro after Sundance. “We care deeply about Naim and Ryan’s survival, making Leviticus a tense, atmospheric, and claustrophobic vision of young love in a hateful world.”

With its blend of queer romance and supernatural terror, Leviticus positions itself as one of Sundance 2026’s breakout horror hits.
