The newly revealed poster for Dooba Dooba leans heavily into the unsettling analog horror style first teased in last month’s disturbing trailer.
The found footage horror film is shot entirely through in-home security cameras, turning everyday domestic spaces into a constant surveillance nightmare. Dooba Dooba is set to open in select theaters and arrive on Digital on January 23 via Dark Sky Films.
The story follows 16-year-old Monroe, who—nearly ten years after the brutal murder of her brother—still can’t be left home alone. When Amna arrives to babysit, she quickly learns that the house operates under strange rules. Every room is monitored by security cameras, and Amna must say the phrase “dooba dooba” whenever she moves through the house so Monroe knows it’s really her.
As the night wears on, the tension escalates. Amna grows increasingly unsettled by the constant watching, while Monroe forms an intense and unsettling attachment to her babysitter.
The film stars Amna Vegha, Betsy Sligh, Winston Haynes, Erin O’Meara, and Billy Hulsey. Dooba Dooba is written and directed by Ehrland Hollingsworth, who also produces alongside Sligh, Vegha, and Josh Harris.
Already making waves on the festival circuit, Dooba Dooba took home Best Overall Feature at Nightmares Film Festival and Best Horror Film at Midwest WeirdFest, with additional recognition from Panic Fest, Unnamed Footage Festival, Another Hole in the Head, and Central Florida Film Festival.
