Sydney Sweeney & Amanda Seyfried Go Deliciously Dark in Paul Feig’s ‘The Housemaid’ Final Trailer
The final trailer for Paul Feig’s salacious thriller The Housemaid is here, and Sydney Sweeney (Immaculate) and Amanda Seyfried (Jennifer’s Body) are serving drama, danger, and deliciously unhinged energy.
The film hits theaters December 19 via Lionsgate. Feig, known for Ghostbusters and A Simple Favor, directs this steamy tale of secrets and power.
In The Housemaid, Millie (Sweeney) takes a live-in position with a wealthy family, hoping to escape her past. What starts as a dream job quickly spirals into a deadly game of seduction, scandal, and manipulation, where nothing—and no one—is safe.
The script comes from Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys, The Vampire Diaries), adapted from Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel. The cast also includes Brandon Sklenar (Drop), Michele Morrone (Another Simple Favor), and Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds), bringing extra layers of intrigue to the story.
Feig produces alongside Todd Lieberman (The Fighter, Warm Bodies) and Laura Fischer, with executive producers Sweeney, Seyfried, McFadden, and others rounding out the team.
With its mix of sensual tension, dark secrets, and moral twists, The Housemaid is shaping up to be one of the year’s most intoxicating thrillers.
