The skies turn deadly in the first trailer for Turbulence, the soaring survival thriller that looks to follow in the footsteps of Fall.

Now in select theaters and on Digital, Lionsgate and Grindstone Entertainment deliver a high-altitude nightmare where romance quickly turns to terror.

The story follows a young married couple whose romantic hot air balloon getaway becomes a fight for survival when a sinister third passenger with ties to their past hijacks their ride. As dark secrets surface, the breathtaking journey turns into a lethal game of mental chess — and a brutal battle hundreds of feet above the ground.

The cast includes Jeremy Irvine (Return to Silent Hill), Hera Hilmar (Mortal Engines), Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace).

Director Claudio Fäh (Hollow Man II, No Way Up) guides the tension from a script by Andy Mayson (No Way Up), who also produces alongside Molly Conners and Amanda Bowers.

Turbulence is rated R for “some bloody violence, suicide, and language,” promising a sky-high thriller that’s as brutal as it is breathtaking.
