Ed Weeks Sinks His Teeth Into CBS’ Vampire Sitcom Pilot ‘Eternally Yours’
Ed Weeks (The Mindy Project) is sinking his teeth into CBS’ new single-camera vampire comedy Eternally Yours, rising from the minds of Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman.
The series follows Charles and Liz, a vampire power-couple who’ve been married for half a millennium and now face their greatest terror yet: accepting the mortal who’s dating their daughter. Immortality comes easy—family drama, not so much.
Weeks stars as Charles, once a medieval noble and now a reluctant desk jockey forced to relocate his brood every few years to keep their ageless faces off human radar. Charles loathes modern life and the fragile mortals who populate it, making his daughter’s romantic choices all the more deliciously painful.
Port and Wiseman penned the pilot and executive produce alongside Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang. CBS first opened a writers’ room for the project last year before officially ordering the pilot in July. Filming begins early 2026, just in time for a fresh season of undead sitcom chaos.
Weeks recently appeared as an in-house pianist in Drop and will next show up in the horror-comedy Damned If You Do—clearly keeping his genre fangs sharp.
