David Arquette & Nick Stahl Face a Brutal Serial Killer in ‘Green River Killer’
David Arquette (Scream), Nick Stahl (Disturbing Behavior), Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men), and Rainey Qualley (Shut In) lead the cast of the chilling true-crime thriller Green River Killer, Deadline reports.
The film dives into the gruesome true story of Gary Ridgway, the notorious serial killer convicted of murdering 49 women between 1982 and 1998. Set against the haunting backdrop of the Pacific Northwest in the early 1980s, it follows two detectives (Arquette and Stahl) as they descend into the dark, obsessive hunt for a predator who blends into everyday life.
As the investigation spirals, the detectives confront not only the horrors of Ridgway’s crimes but also the psychological toll of chasing a seemingly invisible evil, blurring the lines between justice and obsession.
Green River Killer recently wrapped production in Washington and Idaho, with Johnny J. Tabor directing from a script by Timothy Michael Hayes (Mary).
The ensemble cast also features Julie Ann Emery (Preacher), Robert Belushi (How I Met Your Mother), Kevin Makely (Young Rock), Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects), Costas Mandylor (Saw franchise), and Mitchell Bourke (A Royal in Paradise) as Ted Bundy.
Produced by Jeffrey Decker (Ave One Entertainment) with Vasilios Viores executive producing via Macova Media, the film focuses on the investigators’ relentless pursuit rather than glorifying the killer.
“What drew me to this story was how long it haunted those who lived it,” said Tabor. “For 20 years, investigators carried the weight of a case that seemed endless, refusing to let it be forgotten. My goal was to honor the men and women who never gave up and bring justice to those who no longer had a voice.”
With a tense, true-crime approach and blood-chilling performances, Green River Killer promises to be a haunting addition to the serial killer thriller genre.
