Nicolas Cage Faces Horror in First Clip from ‘The Carpenter’s Son’
Magnolia Pictures is set to release the mysterious horror film The Carpenter’s Son in just one month, and IGN Fan Fest has unveiled the first official clip. The film hits theaters nationwide on November 14.
Inspired by the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas, the story plunges into a dark, supernatural tale set in Roman-era Egypt.
Official Synopsis:
A remote village erupts into spiritual warfare when a carpenter, his wife, and their teenage son are targeted by supernatural forces.
Joseph (Nicolas Cage), Mary (FKA twigs), and their son Jesus (Noah Jupe) have lived under constant threat, holding fast to faith and tradition. But a stopover in a small settlement awakens chaos when a mysterious stranger (Isla Johnston) tempts young Jesus to defy his father’s rules.
As temptation grows, Jesus is drawn into a forbidden, nightmarish world. Violent, unnatural events follow him, and he begins experiencing terrifying visions of the future. Ultimately, Joseph uncovers the shocking truth: his son’s new playmate is none other than Satan.
The genre-bending horror film is written and directed by Lotfy Nathan, promising a dark and unnerving cinematic experience.
