Sam Raimi’s ‘Send Help’ Trailer Premieres with ‘The Black Phone 2’
Horror fans heading to theaters for The Black Phone 2 this weekend are getting a bonus scare — the first look at Sam Raimi’s Send Help.
There’s a twisted bit of history here. Raimi took over Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness after original Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson left the project — the same move that freed Derrickson to make The Black Phone. Now their paths cross again, this time on the big screen.
If you miss it in theaters, the Send Help trailer will soon drop online.
Described as Misery meets Castaway, Raimi’s latest horror thriller follows two coworkers stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. As they fight to survive, buried resentments turn the struggle into something far darker — a vicious psychological war where survival means more than just staying alive.
The film stars Rachel McAdams (Doctor Strange), Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner), Dennis Haysbert (24), and Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians).
Raimi directs from a script by Damian Shannon & Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason, Friday the 13th), with a haunting score by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Beetlejuice).
Send Help crashes into theaters January 30, 2026.
