“Evil Dead Burn” Starts Shooting – The Deadites Are Back!
The Deadites are rising once again. Production has officially begun on Evil Dead Burn, the next terrifying chapter in the long-running Evil Dead franchise. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček (Infested), the film is slated to hit theaters on July 24, 2026, courtesy of Warner Bros.
Vaniček, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Florent Bernard, is bringing a fresh and brutal vision to the series. He offered a glimpse into the shoot with an on-set update this week.
“I told the studio that I wanted to make a nasty film, a film that hurts, from which you come away tested,” Vaniček said in an interview with Konbini. “I’m going to put all the horror I have inside—it will be cathartic. And if I haven’t ruined my career, maybe I’ll try something outside horror next!”
The Cast includes Hunter Doohan (Wednesday), Luciane Buchanan (The Night Agent), and Tandi Wright (Pearl), joining Souheila Yacoub (Dune: Part Two) in what promises to be a gritty, blood-soaked experience.
Evil Dead Burn continues the franchise’s new direction: handing the creative reins to bold, up-and-coming directors personally chosen by Sam Raimi. That approach has paid off, starting with Fede Alvarez’s brutal 2013 reboot and followed by Lee Cronin’s hit sequel Evil Dead Rise in 2023.
In addition to Burn, Ghost House Pictures has tapped Francis Galluppi (The Last Stop in Yuma County) to write and direct yet another untitled Evil Dead project—expanding the blood-splattered universe even further.
Stay tuned for more updates on Evil Dead Burn and Galluppi’s upcoming entry as production continues to ramp up.
