Bella Thorne-Led Mystery Thriller ‘Saint Clare’ Sets July Release Date

Quiver Distribution has picked up North American rights to Saint Clare, a dark mystery-thriller starring Bella Thorne, with the film set to debut in select theaters and on digital platforms July 18.
Directed by Mitzi Peirone (Braid) and co-written with Guinevere Turner (American Psycho), Saint Clare adapts Don Roff’s 2021 novel Clare at Sixteen into a chilling vision of justice, madness, and the supernatural.
Thorne plays a quiet young woman in a small town, guided by mysterious voices that compel her to kill those who do harm—and somehow, she always gets away with it. But when her latest target leads her into a shadowy world of corruption, trafficking, and otherworldly visions, Clare begins to unravel in ways she never expected.
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast including Rebecca De Mornay (The Hand That Rocks the Cradle), Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction), Ryan Phillippe (I Know What You Did Last Summer), and Bart Johnson, Joy Rovaris, Jan Luis Castellanos, Dylan Flashner, and Erica Dasher.
Director Peirone describes Saint Clare as a deeply personal and symbolic project:
“Clare has taught me that when you’re destined with vision and clarity of purpose, nothing can scare you—not violence, not rejection, not even death.”
Quiver Co-Presidents Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman praised the film’s bold aesthetic and central performance, calling it:
“A visually striking and intense meditation on isolation and quiet evil, driven by a sublime performance from Bella Thorne and an evocative gothic soundtrack by Zola Jesus.”
