Underwater Monster Battle in the Bodycam Horror Game ‘Chasmal Fear’

MystiveDev, known for their Survival Horror endeavor Mirror Forge in collaboration with DreadXP, is now venturing into the realm of Bodycam Horror with their latest project, Chasmal Fear. This upcoming single-player and co-op game amalgamates the gripping essence of Survival Horror mechanics with the immersive perspective of bodycam footage.

Transporting players to the underwater Magnus Facility in a futuristic setting, Chasmal Fear thrusts them into a grim scenario where the situation has predictably spiraled out of control. Resources are scarce, the odds are heavily stacked against survival, and malevolent monsters freely prowl the facility, putting up formidable resistance. What’s more challenging is that these creatures undergo unpredictable mutations, escalating in strength after each encounter. This adds a strategic layer, compelling players to reconsider direct confrontation and instead explore stealthier evasion tactics.

The game’s narrative paths branch out based on players’ choices, influencing subsequent navigation and encounters. To amplify replayability, Chasmal Fear incorporates randomized events, introducing elements like crumbling structures and unforeseen terror. The game also offers a cooperative mode, allowing players to embark on the nerve-racking escape journey with a friend, although this intensifies the game’s difficulty significantly.

Chasmal Fear is currently earmarked for release on PC via Steam, though an official launch date is yet to be confirmed. Interested players can stay updated by following the Steam page or visiting MystiveDev’s official website for announcements and developments.
