Blowfish Studios and Indiesruption Set to Unveil ‘Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness’ at Steam Next Fest

Following its recent appearance at Feardemic’s Fear Fest earlier this month, Blowfish Studios and developer Indiesruption are gearing up for the October edition of Steam Next Fest with their 2D pixel-art horror adventure, “Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness.” If you have a penchant for old-school adventure games like “Sanitarium,” this game might be the perfect match for you.

The narrative unfolds in 1921, a year marked by a catastrophic fire that engulfed Vlad Petrescu’s renowned Vlad Circus, resulting in the tragic loss of hundreds of lives. Subsequent to this devastating incident, the circus troupe disbanded, and Vlad’s brother faced a grim fate, being found guilty of causing the fire and sentenced to death. Eight years later, Vlad Petrescu seeks to resurrect the circus and invites his once-legendary performers to once again grace the stage. Players step into the shoes of Oliver Mills, a clown among the circus’s ranks, who soon becomes entangled in a tale brimming with mysteries, tragedies, and anguish.

“Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness” offers an immersive blend of elements, including intricate puzzles, light survival mechanics, and deliberate action sequences. The game also boasts the intriguing feature of two possible endings, which hinge on your completion of specific quests. Drawing inspiration from the Survival Horror genre, the game introduces limited inventory space, requiring players to manage over 50 items collected for puzzle-solving purposes. Moreover, players may encounter random adversaries, though engaging in combat is seldom advisable.

In addition to its Steam release, “Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness” is actively in development for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms.

Mark your calendars for Steam Next Fest, set to run from October 9th to 16th, where you can delve into the enigmatic world of “Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness.”
