When would we get to see more of Digital Cybercherries’ Paranormal Tales in action has been a topic ever since the gameplay clip debuted back in March. Fortunately for us, Digital Cybercherries has returned with a new Paranormal Tales clip called “The Man Downstairs” that provides yet another look at the gameplay that will surely make you jump.
The next-generation horror game Paranormal Tales is based on discovered footage and is powered by Unreal Engine 5. Each video file in the game’s Horror Cam archives committee serves as a stand-alone experience and describes the moments leading up to a character’s disappearance. You go through these “videos” in order to learn what happened to the people who filmed them. These “videos” take place in a range of locations and tell the player a variety of very distinct stories. Players will experience and go through each terrible tale of people who went missing through the perspective of discovered film from bodycams, phones, and VHS cameras, taking some cues from the P.T. demo.
Gameplay elements like facial recognition, dynamic breathing, interacting with everyday objects, stumbling when sprinting, and of course the genre cliche of jump scares, is what players may anticipate. Players will journey through numerous settings and scenarios in Paranormal scenarios, where nothing is secure. For gamers who are bold enough to investigate further, what initially appears to be a typical lived-in house may unexpectedly transform into something more frightening.
Currently, a 2023 Steam release for the PC version of the game is anticipated.
