Horror Tycoon, the spooky haunted house management game that’s been haunting Early Access since last October, has just received a substantial update. Developer Smidge Games brings additional content, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements to enhance the player experience.

Casey Clark from Smidge Games expressed gratitude for the game’s dedicated community, emphasizing their commitment to delivering an exceptional gaming experience.

The update introduces a new area within The Lake, allowing players to explore and discover its hidden secrets, providing added depth to their haunted house creation. The patch also brings a variety of new decorations, construction elements, scare traps, and more to aid in crafting the ultimate haunted house attraction.

Additionally, the developers have diligently addressed several bugs and made quality-of-life enhancements, streamlining player interactions with the game world and resource management.

Horror Tycoon takes a sinister twist on the Rollercoaster Tycoon concept, tasking players with constructing and managing their own haunted houses to terrify guests in exchange for fame and fortune. The challenge lies in scaring guests enough to make them flee the haunted house before reaching the exit.

To achieve this, players must strategically build walls, doorways, trap doors, and fake walls to navigate their guests through the eerie maze. As your haunted house’s reputation for terror grows, visitors’ expectations rise, prompting the need for even more spine-chilling traps, ultimately allowing you to make guests vanish into the realm of the dead. But beware of getting caught, as it could spell the end of your career.

Horror Tycoon is available now on Steam, offering players a spine-tingling journey into the world of haunted house management.
