World Makers’ spine-chilling social deduction horror game, Deceit 2, has arrived, as declared by its exhilarating launch trailer! Today marks the game’s release on Steam, and it’s just a matter of time before it makes its way to PlayStation and Xbox, ensuring full crossplay compatibility for both PC and console players.

James Thompson, CEO of World Makers, emphasized the studio’s commitment to enriching the narrative tapestry of Deceit 2, with a particular focus on the Game Master’s lore. Thompson remarked, “We wanted to expand the narrative threads for Deceit 2 and reintroduce the Game Master’s lore because without the Game Master, there is no Deceit universe. The team had to create a special kind of energy to craft experiences that tap into these Eldritch horrors and redefine what our game and the social deduction genre can be. Our demented hope is to leave players running and screaming but also coming back for more.”

For those who might have missed the spine-tingling Fear Fest trailer, Deceit 2 stands as the much-anticipated sequel to the 2017 original. It thrusts players into two distinct groups: the Innocent and the Infected. In a frantic race against the clock, players must collaborate to collect souls while relying on proximity chat to discern the identities of the Infected. The fate of your survival hinges on how adeptly you handle deception. Take heed during the In-Between phase, a perilous period where Terrors can methodically eliminate their unsuspecting victims.

Rebuilt from the ground up, harnessing the formidable power of Unreal Engine 5, Deceit 2 introduces a host of fresh elements, nine-player matches, and an extensive gameplay overhaul that promises to deliver an even more heart-pounding and immersive experience for players.
