Season 2 Premiere Date of ‘Invasion’ Announced by Apple; Unveils First-Look Photos

Apple TV+ has revealed that the highly acclaimed sci-fi series ‘Invasion’, created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, will return for its second season on Wednesday, August 23. The season will kick off with the premiere episode, followed by a weekly release of one new episode every Wednesday until October 25, exclusively on Apple TV+.

‘Invasion’ is a compelling and character-driven science fiction drama that explores the impact of an alien invasion from multiple perspectives around the globe. The second season picks up a few months after the events of the first season, as the aliens intensify their attacks and engage in an all-out war against humanity.

Renewed for a second season even before its Season 1 finale in 2021, ‘Invasion’ has garnered praise for its gripping storytelling and captivating performances. The cast includes Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland, and Tara Moayedi. Joining the ensemble for Season 2 are new series regulars Enver Gjokaj, Nedra Marie Taylor, and Naian González Norvind.

Simon Kinberg expressed his excitement about the return of ‘Invasion’ and teased a bigger and more intense season that delves into a global battle right from the start. The series explores the resilience of the human spirit and the profound emotional connections that unite us in the face of extraordinary challenges.

Alongside Kinberg and Weil, the executive producing team includes Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Andrew Baldwin, and Katie O’Connell Marsh.
