The award-winning anthology series American Horror Story is returning for its 12th season, titled Delicate. The season will premiere on FX on September 20, 2023, with Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts, and Cara Delevingne starring.

Delicate is based, at least in part, on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition. The novel is described as a gripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.

The season will be written and show run by Halley Feiffer. Feiffer is a playwright and screenwriter who has written for the films Booksmart and The Woman in the Window.

This is not the first time that American Horror Story has been inspired by literature. The show’s first season, Murder House, was based on the novel American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. The show’s third season, Coven, was based on the novel The Witches of Eastwick by John Updike.

American Horror Story has been praised for its innovative storytelling and its ability to tap into the dark side of the human psyche. The show has won numerous awards, including Golden Globes, Primetime Emmy Awards, and People’s Choice Awards.

The 12th season of American Horror Story is sure to be another terrifying and thought-provoking installment in the series. Fans can expect to be disturbed, entertained, and maybe even a little bit scared.
