As previously promised, fans of this year’s chilling Winnie the Pooh slasher flick can rejoice, as a sequel is officially in the works. The upcoming film, titled “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2,” is already in full swing, and The Hollywood Reporter has unveiled the first tantalizing glimpses of the return of the sinister version of our beloved Pooh Bear.

In addition to the bloodthirsty Pooh, the sequel will reintroduce familiar characters such as Christopher Robin, Piglet, and Owl, adding layers of nostalgia to the bone-chilling narrative.

The Hollywood Reporter provides insight into the ongoing production, highlighting several exciting developments. Notably, “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” boasts a significantly larger budget, promising more gruesome kills and a star-studded addition to the cast. Simon Callow, the Olivier Award-winning and BAFTA-nominated actor known for his roles in “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” has joined the ensemble.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield, the talented writer/director behind this thrilling sequel, expressed, “Bigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high death count. However, this time Pooh and friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!”

Producer Scott Jeffrey is equally enthusiastic, emphasizing the substantial increase in the budget for this installment. He stated,

“With our sequel, we have a substantially higher budget, so Rhys is really able to create a shocking, explosive, and gore-filled movie. I truly think people will really dig what we are creating.”

The cast of “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” is stacked with talent, including Tallulah Evans and Scott Chambers, who takes on the role of Christopher Robin. Ryan Olivia portrays Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney embodies Young Pooh. The screenplay for this thrilling slasher sequel was penned by Matt Leslie, known for his work on “Summer of 84.”

With a bigger budget, a star-studded cast, and a promise of more gruesome thrills, “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” is shaping up to be a bone-chilling follow-up that will surely keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
