BD reports that today, Friday the 13th, it’s the perfect occasion to dive into “We Might Hurt Each Other” (formerly known as “Pensive”), now available for streaming on SCREAMBOX!
This film pays homage to the iconic slasher classics like “Friday the 13th.”
Drawing inspiration from local legends, “We Might Hurt Each Other” revolves around a group of privileged high school classmates. Their wild graduation party takes a dark turn when they destroy a set of life-size wooden statues, triggering the emergence of a mysterious masked killer who systematically hunts down each member of the group.
“Gory and glorious,” “We Might Hurt Each Other” serves as a gritty throwback to the 1980s, during the heyday of slasher cinema. Taking cues from the legacy of “Friday the 13th,” the filmmakers infuse the era’s greatness with a fresh perspective rooted in Eastern European folklore.
This blood-soaked Lithuanian teen horror film was directed by Jonas Trukanas and features Gabija Bargailaite (“Pilgrims”).
