The creative duo behind the slasher-comedy “Freaky” is joining forces once again for an exciting venture into a new genre with the upcoming time-traveling slasher film, “Time Cut.” Christopher Landon, the director of “Freaky,” takes on the role of producer, while Michael Kennedy, co-writer of “Freaky,” teams up with Hanna Macpherson, known for her work on “Into the Dark,” to craft the script. Macpherson also steps into the director’s chair for “Time Cut,” a movie that has been aptly described as a blend of “Back to the Future” and “Scream.”

Exciting news has just emerged— “Time Cut” is set to premiere on Netflix in 2024!

In this upcoming slasher flick, the narrative unfolds as “a teenage girl travels back to the early 2000s to stop a vicious killer from murdering her sister.” This premise aligns with the trend set by similar films like “Freaky,” “Happy Death Day,” “It’s a Wonderful Knife,” and “Totally Killer,” showcasing a fresh wave of horror-comedy-slasher hybrids.

The cast of “Time Cut” includes Madison Bailey from “Outer Banks” and Antonia Gentry from “Ginny & Georgia,” alongside a talented ensemble featuring Michael Shanks, Griffin Gluck, Rachael Crawford, Jordan Pettle, Megan Best, Samuel Braun, Sydney Sabiston, and Kataem O’Connor.

With Michael Kennedy contributing to the story, “Time Cut” promises to be another thrilling addition to the growing catalog of genre-blending films. Get ready for a time-bending experience that combines the best elements of slasher horror and comedy, exclusively on Netflix in 2024!
