The Nightmare Before Christmas is an all-timer. Fans still still watch this on Halloween and on Christmas. It perfectly fits both holidays. The director, Henry Selick combined with producer Tim Burton created a brilliant film together. Over the years fans have hoped that the two would revisit Nightmare Before Christmas in a sequel or prequel. Recently, Selick spoke about precisely that.

“I think Tim Burton in particular feels like, why mess with that? He certainly doesn’t need to make more money from a sequel. He has had so many other successes, and so far nobody’s come up with a great idea for a sequel. And I still think that Tim gets to decide. I don’t think there’s any idea that would convince him.”  Selick went on to say “There might be a more interesting story there about how Jack became the King of Halloween Town.”

A backstory that would tell the story of a younger Jack taking over Halloween Town would be fantastic! Who knows. Burton is revisiting the classic film, Beetlejuice. So, it wouldn’t be too unlikely to see him revisit his stop-motion classic.
