Apple TV+ has announced that the upcoming series “The Changeling” will premiere on September 8th. The series is an adaptation of Victor LaValle’s novel of the same name and stars LaKeith Stanfield as Apollo, a new father who begins to experience strange and nightmarish events after the birth of his son.

The series also stars Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson, and Malcolm Barrett. Kelly Marcel wrote the adaptation and serves as showrunner, while Melina Matsoukas directed the pilot episode.

The first three episodes of “The Changeling” will be available to watch on September 8th, with the remaining episodes released on a weekly basis through October 13th.

The series is described as a “fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable, and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed”.
