NEON’s promotional campaign for the upcoming horror flick “Longlegs” continues to weave a tapestry of enigmatic intrigue, unveiling a new poster and video teaser that arrived in inboxes this afternoon.

Dubbed “Sweet: Part One,” the poster is complemented by the video labeled “Sweet: Part Two,” which offers viewers fresh glimpses into the film’s eerie world alongside a cryptic poem.

The verse, “So close the crimson and clover, All gone now to the edge, Where the black begins, The long forked tongue hisses,” hints at the character played by Maika Monroe, identified as “daughter of the seventh she.” It also alludes to her lifelong ambition to apprehend a killer.

Adding to the mystique is an “application process” included in the press email. Recipients are instructed to navigate through a series of steps, though the purpose remains shrouded in secrecy.

“Longlegs,” described as “in the vein of classic Hollywood psychological thrillers,” marks the return of director Osgood Perkins, known for “The Blackcoat’s Daughter” and “Gretel & Hansel.” The film stars Nicolas Cage alongside Maika Monroe, with Monroe portraying FBI Agent Lee Harker and Cage embodying the chilling persona of a serial killer.

Set to hit theaters exclusively on July 12, “Longlegs” follows Agent Harker as she delves into the unsolved case of a notorious serial killer, uncovering sinister ties to the occult. As the investigation intensifies, she races against time to prevent further tragedy, confronting personal demons along the way.
