According to Deadline’s latest report, “Game of Thrones” alumni Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are confirmed to headline the cast of an upcoming gothic horror feature titled “The Dreadful.”

Directed by Natasha Kermani, known for her work on “Imitation Girl,” “Lucky,” and segments of the “V/H/S” series, the film promises a gripping tale.

“Set against the tumultuous backdrop of the War of the Roses, ‘The Dreadful’ delves into the lives of Anne (portrayed by Sophie Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen, who eke out a harsh existence on society’s fringes,” explains the premise.

However, their secluded existence is disrupted when a figure from their past resurfaces, portrayed by Kit Harington. His return ignites a chain of events that will forever alter Anne’s trajectory.

Natasha Kermani is not only directing but also taking on the responsibility of crafting the screenplay for “The Dreadful.” The project is poised to make waves as UTA Independent Film Group and Film Bridge International kick off sales at the European Film Market.
