Lionsgate is preparing to unveil a brand-new trilogy of “The Strangers” movies, and today, we’ve received exciting news that “The Strangers Trilogy” is set for release in 2024.

Furthermore, Lionsgate has just revealed that fans will get a sneak peek at New York Comic Con this October. The official Twitter account for “The Strangers” posted, “Shut your window. Lock your door. They are coming. Get your first look of #TheStrangersTrilogy at NYCC with director Renny Harlin and producer Courtney Solomon on October 12th at 3pm.”

While we don’t have all the details on how these three films will be rolled out, it’s intriguing that they’re bundled together as “The Strangers Trilogy.” Based on Lionsgate’s tease, we can reasonably assume that all three movies will hit theaters next year.

Keep an eye out for more updates as they come in. And take a look at the teaser images below.

The cast includes Madelaine Petsch (“Riverdale”), Froy Gutierrez (“Hocus Pocus 2”), Rachel Shenton (“The Silent Child”), Ema Horvath (“Rings of Power”), and Gabe Basso (“Hillbilly Elegy”).

Drawing inspiration from the original 2008 cult horror franchise, the story revolves around Petsch’s character, who embarks on a cross-country journey with her long-time boyfriend (Gutierrez) in search of a new life in the Pacific Northwest. However, their plans take a chilling turn when their car breaks down in Venus, Oregon, forcing them to spend the night in a secluded Airbnb. Throughout the night, they are terrorized by three masked strangers, enduring a nightmarish ordeal.

The film is directed by Renny Harlin, known for his work on “Cliffhanger,” “Deep Blue Sea,” and “Die Hard 2,” with a screenplay by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland (“The Freak Brothers,” “Due Date”). Lionsgate is set to distribute the movie worldwide.

“The Strangers” franchise began in 2008 with Bryan Bertino’s original home invasion horror movie, introducing audiences to three masked killers. These menacing characters returned a decade later in “The Strangers: Prey at Night” in 2018, shifting the setting from a remote house in the woods to a trailer park.
