Fresh from clinching a triumphant Super Bowl victory, Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce isn’t slowing down in making waves. This time, he’s making headlines for his foray into the film industry.

According to a recent report from Variety, Travis Kelce is stepping into the role of executive producer for the upcoming feature film “My Dead Friend Zoe,” slated as a dark comedy. The movie is scheduled to debut at SXSW 2024.

Starring Natalie Morales, Ed Harris, and Morgan Freeman, and helmed by director Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, “My Dead Friend Zoe” revolves around the story of a female Afghanistan veteran (Morales) who finds herself in a clash with her Vietnam veteran grandfather (Harris) at their family’s ancestral lake house.

Variety also highlights that “My Dead Friend Zoe” holds the distinction of being the first film production to leverage the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act.

Joining Kelce in the production are Ray Maiello and Mike Field.
