Gravitas Ventures’ newest offering, “Cellphone,” delves into the unsettling and perilous side of technology, particularly our ubiquitous companion, the cellphone. An exclusive clip teases the eerie occurrences that unfold in broad daylight, adding to the suspense of this tech-driven thriller.

In the clip, Malcolm McDowell, known for iconic roles in “A Clockwork Orange” and “Halloween,” interrupts supernatural disturbances with a simple phone call, heightening the tension surrounding the mysterious events.

In “Cellphone,” protagonist Wynne, grappling with the loss of her fiancé, begins to witness disturbing images on her cellphone that seem to foretell her future. With her life on the line, she must decipher these ominous messages before it’s too late.

“Cellphone” is set to release on VOD and Digital platforms on February 13, 2024, courtesy of Gravitas Ventures. The film features a talented ensemble cast including Whitney Rose Pynn, Justin Malik Jackson, Jared Noble, Isaac Versaw, Katherine Barber, and Malcolm McDowell.

Penned by Rachel Sommer and helmed by Luke Sommer, the film is based on their 2012 short film “Cell Phone,” marking their debut in feature-length filmmaking. The short film offered a glimpse into the premise, following friends Farren and Wynne as they stumbled upon a peculiar cellphone during a hike, triggering a series of disturbing visions from their future, ultimately posing a grave threat to their lives.

Producing alongside Rachel and Luke Sommer is Jan Sommer, ensuring that “Cellphone” brings audiences a gripping and spine-chilling narrative that explores the dark side of technology.
