Renowned horror filmmaker Joe Dante, celebrated for his iconic works such as “Gremlins” and “The ‘Burbs,” is making a triumphant return to the director’s chair with the spine-chilling project “Little Shop of Halloween Horrors,” as revealed by Deadline.

Teaming up with the legendary Roger Corman as producer, the film is slated to be a contemporary reimagination of Corman’s cult classic “Little Shop of Horrors” from 1960. Adding to the excitement, the script comes from the talented Charles S. Haas, known for his work on “Gremlins 2: The New Batch.”

Described as a potential franchise-starter, “Little Shop of Halloween Horrors” is set to inject fresh blood into the horror genre. With Corman and Brad Krevoy onboard as co-producers, the project is poised to captivate audiences with its blend of nostalgia and modern terror.

Originally birthed as a Roger Corman-directed film, “Little Shop of Horrors” has evolved into various incarnations, including an Off-Broadway musical and the beloved 1986 cinematic adaptation.
