Kevin Williamson, known for his work on iconic slasher films like “Scream” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” made a return to the slasher genre with “Sick.” The film originally premiered exclusively on Peacock on January 13, 2023.

Now, eight months later, “Sick” has become available on Digital and DVD as of today.

“Sick” is a COVID-era slasher that follows the story of two friends who find themselves stalked by a masked maniac while quarantining at a remote lake house.

The film was directed by John Hyams, known for his work on “Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning” and “Black Summer,” and it was based on a story by Kevin Williamson. “Sick” has been described as a “lean, mean, and wickedly timely slasher.”

In the midst of a pandemic that brings the world to a standstill, Parker and her best friend Miri believe they are quarantining alone at a family lake house, but they soon discover that they are not as isolated as they thought.

“Sick” is a Blumhouse and Miramax production, with a screenplay written by Kevin Williamson and Katelyn Crabb. The film features a cast that includes Gideon Adlon, Bethlehem Million, Marc Menchaca, and Jane Adams.
