The found footage horror franchise Hell House LLC is expanding with the prequel Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor, which will premiere on Shudder and AMC+ on Devil’s Night, October 30th.

The film, written and directed by Stephen Cognetti, tells the story of a group of cold case investigators who stay at the Carmichael Manor, the site of the grisly and unsolved murders of the Carmichael family back in the eighties. After four nights, the group is never heard from again. What is discovered on their footage is even more disturbing than anything found on the Hell House tapes.

The film stars Destiny Leilani Brown, James Liddell, Gideon Berger, Cayla Berejikian, Victoria Andrunik, Darin F. Earl II, Searra Sawka, Joe Bandelli, Rocky Glen Park director Robert Savakinus, and newcomers Bridget Rose Perrotta, Thomas J. Cipriano, Michael Caprioli, Celeste Cicon, Marlene Williams, and Dayna Michelle Kurtz.

Cognetti has written and directed every entry in the Hell House LLC franchise, which began in 2015. The first film quickly gained a reputation as one of the best-found footage movies out there.

The prequel is the first of several Hell House LLC origin films that are planned.
