Marcel Walz, known for his work on ‘Blood Feast’ and ‘That’s a Wrap,’ is embracing the essence of 1970s cinematic gems with his latest horror venture, ‘Brute 1976.’ In a recent update from Deadline, a sneak peek and comprehensive details have surfaced about this upcoming film.

Hailing from Neon Noir, ‘Brute 1976’ is positioned as an homage to the iconic horror films ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ and ‘The Hills Have Eyes,’ with the script penned by Joe Knetter, acclaimed for ‘Twilight of the Dead.’

According to Deadline’s report, the narrative kicks off with Raquel and her companion encountering car trouble amidst their journey to a desert photoshoot celebrating Bicentennial unity. Their exploration leads them to an abandoned mine, coinciding with the photoshoot team swapping Raquel for make-up artist Sunshine. Soon, they stumble upon the deserted town of Savage, with a grim past and an eerie appeal for a photo backdrop.

However, the town is already occupied by a family of masked maniacs determined to uphold its violent legacy.

The ensemble cast features Adriane McLean (‘Miracles of Christmas’), Sarah French (‘Blind’), Gigi Gustin (‘The Retaliators’), Dazelle Yvette (‘Garden of Eden’), and Adam Bucci (‘NCIS Los Angeles’).

Walz expressed his admiration for the originals and remakes of ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ and ‘The Hills Have Eyes,’ emphasizing the intense and gritty experience of filming ‘Brute 1976,’ promising that audiences will feel the heat, grime, and blood spilled on screen.

Knetter shared his perspective, highlighting ‘Brute’ as their tribute to the unparalleled horror masterpiece, ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.’ Filming in the desert posed challenges, yet the dedicated cast and crew delivered something extraordinary.

Both Walz and Knetter exude enthusiasm for ‘Brute 1976,’ suggesting an intense and visually gripping homage to the classic horror genre.
