Prepare for an intense journey through the desolate streets of Barcelona as ‘Bird Box Barcelona,’ the highly anticipated spinoff movie set in the world of the 2018 hit ‘Bird Box,’ makes its debut on July 14. Netflix has released the official poster for the film, heightening anticipation among fans.

Written and directed by Alex and David Pastor, acclaimed filmmakers behind ‘The Occupant’ and ‘The Head,’ this Spanish-language thriller introduces a new chapter in the Bird Box universe. The movie features a talented ensemble cast, including Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Diego Calva, Alejandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Patrick Criado, Celia Freijeiro, Lola Dueñas, Gonzalo de Castro, Michelle Jenner, and Leonardo Sbaraglia.

In ‘Bird Box Barcelona,’ the story unfolds after a mysterious force devastates the world’s population, causing anyone who sees it to take their own life. Sebastian and his young daughter Anna must navigate the desolate streets of Barcelona, forming uneasy alliances with other survivors as they strive to reach a safe haven. However, they soon discover that a threat even more sinister than the unseen creatures lurks in the shadows.

The movie reunites producers Dylan Clark and Chris Morgan from the original ‘Bird Box,’ along with Adrián Guerra and Núria Valls representing Nostromo Pictures. Executive producers include Susanne Bier, Josh Malerman (author of the novel ‘Bird Box’), Ryan Lewis, Ainsley Davies (Chris Morgan Productions), and Brian Williams (Dylan Clark Productions).

‘Bird Box,’ starring Sandra Bullock, achieved enormous success upon its release on Netflix in 2018. The film depicted a world where an ominous unseen presence drives most of society to suicide, with a mother and her two children embarking on a perilous journey to find safety.

Fans of ‘Bird Box’ and thrilling Spanish-language cinema can look forward to the spine-tingling experience of ‘Bird Box Barcelona.’ Based on the same-titled novel by Josh Malerman, this spinoff promises to captivate audiences once again with its chilling narrative.
