We finally have a release date for Until Dawn 2.

The highly anticipated horror game sequel is officially coming to PlayStation 5 on January 28, 2027, with pre-orders opening September 10, 2026.

If you pre-order either the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll also get some bonus content inspired by Dr. Hill. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with a few additional extras, including the Y2K Neon Vibes Pack and the Dioramas of Death feature.

Unlike the original game, Until Dawn 2 is a standalone story with a completely new cast and a new setting. But the basic idea remains the same: your choices matter, and not everyone is guaranteed to survive.

This time, the story follows the Dead True ghost-hunting crew as they chase what could be their biggest investigation yet. Things take a turn after an investigation at Blackwood Sanitorium, eventually leading the group to Akishima Island.

The remote island has been abandoned for decades, but it clearly isn’t as empty as it seems. There are secrets buried there that go back much further than the crew could have imagined.

And once the night begins, what happens next is largely in your hands.

You might follow a mysterious signal while searching for a missing friend. You might take a different route and uncover something you were never supposed to find. You may even be forced to make a sacrifice—or decide to take your chances and find another way.

Every decision can alter the story, and more importantly, decide who makes it out alive.

The Dead True ghost-hunting crew are chasing their biggest story yet. After an investigation at Blackwood Sanitorium takes a chilling turn, an encounter with supernatural survivor Yoona leads them to Akishima Island, a remote paradise abandoned for decades and hiding secrets far older than any of them imagined.

As the night unfolds, your choices will decide what happens next. Follow a signal in search of a missing friend, or risk a detour that could uncover vital clues. Make the sacrifice you’re told to make, or choose another way. Every decision can change the story, and determine who survives.
