A new 30-second clip from Passenger wastes no time building dread, proving that even a brief roadside moment can spiral into full-blown terror.

Directed by André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark), the supernatural horror film arrives in theaters this Friday, May 22, via Paramount.

The story follows a young couple on a van life journey that takes a violent turn after they witness a horrific accident that leaves a driver dead. What follows is far worse: an unstoppable demonic presence begins stalking them, following wherever they go and turning every mile of road into a trap.

Starring Jacob Scipio (Bad Boys for Life), Lou Llobell (“Foundation”), Melissa Leo (The Fighter), and Joseph Lopez (Insidious: The Further), the film blends supernatural horror with relentless pursuit terror.

Produced by Walter Hamada (18hz) and Gary Dauberman (Coin Operated), Passenger is written by Zachary Donohue (The Den) and T.W. Burgess. Executive producers include Jenny Hinkey, Nathan Samdahl, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary.
