‘Loner’ Trailer: When Solitude Turns Deadly in the Woods
An ancient presence stalks the wilderness in our exclusive look at Loner, a character-driven descent into paranoia that blends folk horror, psychological dread, and a streak of dark humor.
Following a screening at Panic Fest in Kansas City next month, the film will stream for free beginning April 24 exclusively on Found TV.
The story centers on aspiring vlogger Angus Mattock, who heads deep into a remote wilderness retreat to film survival and nature content. What starts as a peaceful escape quickly curdles into a waking nightmare when Angus finds himself hunted—and ultimately trapped—by a mysterious force rooted in the natural world.
Co-directed by Charlie Robb and Douglas Tawn in their feature debut, the film is written by Robb, who also stars alongside Kat Johns-Burke.
Loner has already made noise on the festival circuit, taking home Best Feature at the British Horror Film Festival, along with Best Film and Best Actor at the Black Sunday Film Festival, and Best Director at Nòt Film Fest.
“As a debut feature, Loner fits squarely within Found TV’s mission to spotlight emerging filmmakers and bring standout genre projects to a wider audience beyond festivals,” said co-founder Louie La Vella.
