Clancy Brown Leads Cast Expansion for Psychological Thriller ‘Nightwatching’

Aaron Moten (Fallout), Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption), and Pat Healy (The Innkeepers) are among the latest cast additions to the psychological thriller Nightwatching, Deadline reports.

Joining them are Mark Webber (Green Room), Grace Kelly Quigley (Physical), and Duke McCloud (All Her Fault), rounding out a star-studded ensemble. Mila Kunis (Black Swan) and Corey Hawkins (Kong: Skull Island) return as the leads.

Directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto (Don’t Move), the film adapts Tracy Sierra’s 2024 novel of the same name. Kunis stars as Lee, a mother whose quiet night turns into a nightmare when an intruder breaks into her home during a relentless winter storm. As she fights to protect her children, Lee is pulled into a tense game of doubt and danger, forced to question not only who is in her house but what they truly want. Hawkins plays the police officer investigating the terrifying home invasion, while other character details remain under wraps.

The screenplay was originally written by Laura Moss and Brendan J. O’Brien (Birth/Rebirth) with a current draft by T.J. Cimfel and David White (Don’t Move).

Producers include Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, and Sam Roston for Scott Free Productions; Erik Feig, Jessica Switch, and Emily Wissink for Picturestart; and Kunis and Lisa Sterbakov for Kunis’ Brick for Sheep banner. Graham Taylor and Christopher Slager serve as executive producers for Fifth Season, which is also financing, while Justin Alvarado Brown executive produces for Scott Free. CAA Media Finance and WME Independent represent domestic distribution, with Amazon MGM Studios handling international release.

Nightwatching began filming last week in California, with Zach Kuperstein (Barbarian, Don’t Move) as cinematographer, setting the stage for what promises to be a tense, chilling thriller.
