‘7 Keys’ Trailer Unlocks a Twisted Psychological Nightmare
A dangerous fantasy spirals into blood-soaked consequences in the newly released trailer for 7 Keys.
Blending pitch-black romance with nerve-shredding psychological thrills, the British indie arrives on VOD January 27 via Level 33 Entertainment. What starts as an intoxicating meet-cute quickly mutates into something far more sinister.
The film marks the feature debut of writer-director Joy Wilkinson, known for her work on Doctor Who and Lockwood & Co. Wilkinson wastes no time pulling viewers into a seductive nightmare.
When her date stands her up, single mother Lena crosses paths with the enigmatic Daniel, and sparks fly immediately. Their connection deepens when Daniel reveals his unsettling obsession: he’s kept the keys to every place he’s ever lived. What follows is a reckless, erotic weekend spent breaking into strangers’ homes — a voyeuristic thrill ride that feels irresistible… until it doesn’t. As secrets claw their way to the surface, the fantasy curdles into something violent and deadly.
Emma McDonald (The Serpent Queen) and Billy Postlethwaite (Chernobyl) lead the cast, joined by Kaylen Luke, Joey Akubeze, Amit Shah, Jane Goddard, Jemma Moore (Host), and Andrew Scarborough (Downton Abbey).
The film is produced by Cassandra Sigsgaard and Dylan Rees, with Wilkinson also serving as executive producer.
7 Keys made its world premiere at SXSW 2024 and went on to screen at FrightFest London and several other genre festivals — a strong signal that this twisted psychological thriller is ready to unlock your darkest impulses.
