Kick off the New Year by diving headfirst into one of television’s most iconic and unsettling series. “The X-Files” is officially heading to free streaming — and the truth is, it’s the perfect excuse for a full-series binge.

Starting Thursday, January 1, all 11 seasons of The X-Files — a massive 218 episodes, including the 2016 revival — will be available on Pluto TV. Fans can stream the series on demand or tune in to a dedicated 24/7 linear channel launching in Pluto TV’s Sci-Fi category.

The channel will debut with a complete chronological run of the entire series, followed by curated weekend marathons, making it easier than ever to get lost in conspiracies, monsters, and government cover-ups.

Created by Chris Carter, The X-Files first premiered on Fox on September 10, 1993, quickly redefining what genre television could be. Blending science fiction, horror, mystery, thriller, and procedural drama, the show evolved from a cult favorite into one of the most influential TV series of all time.

The story follows FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) as they investigate the Bureau’s most disturbing unsolved cases — the infamous X-Files, which deal with paranormal phenomena, extraterrestrials, and the unexplained.
