‘Peacemaker’ Star Sol Rodriguez Tackles Giallo Vampire Horror ‘Illomen’

Sol Rodriguez (Peacemaker), Lou Lou Safran (Annabelle: Creation), and Booboo Stewart (Twilight) are set to star in the upcoming giallo-inspired vampire thriller Illomen, Deadline reports.

The story follows a young widow whose life shatters after a sudden tragedy, pulling her into a deadly confrontation with a mysterious, century-old vampire.

Illomen recently wrapped production in Los Angeles and marks the feature directorial debut of Nathalia Pizarro, who co-wrote the script with Alex Baumgardner and Talar Baker.

The ensemble cast also includes Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Cameron Cowperthwaite (American Horror Story), Bonnie Aarons (The Nun), Dax Campbell, Tayler Buck (Annabelle: Creation), Fivel Stewart (Atypical), and Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal).

“This film was designed to be felt as much as seen,” says Pizarro. “By embracing a saturated, giallo-influenced palette and a visceral, hands-on visual language, Illomen pushes classical genre into a raw, maximalist space between beauty and annihilation.”

Producers on the project include Pizarro and Alix Brown of New American Picture Show; Brent Mata and Dax Campbell of HasBeen Productions; Megan Freels Johnston, Aimee Schoof, and Isen Robbins of Intrinsic Value; and Max Neace.

Illomen is currently eyeing a festival run in 2026, promising a blood-soaked blend of style, terror, and vampire mythology.
