Scream franchise icon Hayden Panettiere is slipping into a waking nightmare in Sleepwalker, a new psychological horror-thriller where sleep becomes the most dangerous place to be.

The film arrives in select theaters and on demand January 9 from Brainstorm Media.

Panettiere stars as Sarah, a grieving artist whose sleepwalking episodes escalate into terrifying visions that blur the line between dream and reality. As the episodes grow more violent, Sarah spirals deeper into a darkness she may not be able to wake up from.

The cast includes Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds), Lori Tan Chinn (Orange Is the New Black), Laird Lacoste, Corinne Sweeney, Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense), and Beverly D’Angelo (Vacation).

Brandon Auman makes his feature directorial debut, expanding on his 2024 short film of the same name. The feature is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way (Shutter Island, Orphan) alongside Verdi Productions.

“Hayden’s emotionally charged performance as a grieving mother is gripping, and we’re looking forward to the world seeing her thrive in this new and exciting chapter in her accomplished career,” said Verdi Productions’ Chad A. Verdi.
