When the infected attack, the question isn’t just who will survive—it’s what horrors will they witness?
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the fourth installment in the post-apocalyptic horror saga, opens in theaters January 16, 2026 via Sony. The new trailer plunges fans deeper into a world where the infection may not be the deadliest force around.
Directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman 2021, The Marvels) from a script by Alex Garland (28 Days Later, 28 Years Later), the film sees Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) grappling with shocking new relationships whose consequences could change the world forever. Meanwhile, Spike (Alfie Williams) faces a nightmarish confrontation with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) he may never escape.
Returning stars include Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry, with Cillian Murphy expected to reprise his iconic role from 28 Days Later.
In The Bone Temple, the infected aren’t the only threat. Humanity itself—its cruelty, desperation, and twisted morality—may be the deadliest predator of all.
Produced by Danny Boyle, Alex Garland, Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, and Bernard Bellew, with Murphy as executive producer, this next chapter promises relentless terror, shocking twists, and a post-apocalyptic world that will haunt you long after the credits roll.
