A sinister force rises from London’s darkest corners in the trailer for Doctor Plague, a serial-killer thriller that blends ancient evil, plague-doctor mythology, and Jack the Ripper–style brutality into one chilling nightmare.
The killer makes their house call when Doctor Plague hits Digital in the US and UK on January 12 via Miracle Media.
Martin Kemp (Waxwork II: Lost in Time) leads the film as jaded London detective John Verney, hunting a masked murderer stalking the streets dressed like a 17th-century plague doctor. While bodies turn up with grisly precision, Verney’s superiors write the carnage off as gang violence, and the media fuels chaos with sensational headlines and fear-baiting viral clips.
But Verney quickly realizes he’s not dealing with a human monster alone—he’s being pulled into a labyrinth of secret cults, blood rituals, and legends that trace back to London’s most infamous killer, Jack the Ripper. As the noose tightens, Verney’s own life shatters when his son is abducted and fellow officers turn on him, forcing him into a desperate, rogue descent beneath the city’s underground tunnels to confront the ancient horror waiting there.
Produced by Shogun Films (Helloween), Doctor Plague marks the feature directorial debut of Ben Fortune, working from a script by Robert Dunn.
The cast includes Peter Woodward (The Patriot), David Yip (A View to a Kill), Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Helloween), Gary Webster (Minder), Wendy Glenn (You’re Next), and Daisy Beaumont (The World Is Not Enough).
