DROPBEAR: Aussie Creature Comedy Horror Unleashes Bloodthirsty Koalas

Published

on

Forget everything you thought you knew about cute, cuddly koalas—DROPBEAR is here to rip that image apart, fur and all. The Australian B-grade creature comedy horror, produced for US-based ITN Distribution, turns a low-budget outback tour into a nightmare straight out of a eucalyptus-fueled fever dream.

The story follows a group of unsuspecting US tourists who sign up for a cheap outback adventure run by two hapless grifters. What starts as a staged “dropbear attack” to entertain—and scam—tourists quickly goes off the rails when they accidentally stumble into the domain of a real, flesh-hungry Koala King and his rabid army of dropbears. These aren’t your average marsupials: these tree-dwelling maniacs are addicted to eucalyptus and infected with a chlamydia-fueled rage, making them deadlier than anyone could imagine.

Directed by , DROPBEAR is distributed by ITN Distribution and produced by Six Foot Four Productions Pty Ltd.

DROPBEAR brings together a cast of both seasoned performers and fresh faces, including:

Connor Pullinger, Ollie, Jessica Burgess, Emily, Adam Ovadia, Liam, Caymond Hodge, Kieran Thomas McNamara, Lucas Andrews, Yoz Mensch

DROPBEAR delivers a wild, blood-soaked mix of comedy and horror. Think Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey meets a twisted Aussie outback b-movie, with ridiculous kills, over-the-top gore, and absurd humor that only the land down under can provide.

ITN Distribution holds the theatrical and home media rights in Australia and New Zealand, with the local rollout set to kick off this December. Fans of outrageous creature features, gory laughs, and over-the-top horror are in for a treat—or a terrifying nightmare—when DROPBEAR storms the screen.
