The creator of Hannibal is back — and he’s bringing Mads Mikkelsen with him. Dust Bunny, Bryan Fuller’s feature directorial debut, has officially been rated R for “some violence,” hinting that the twisted magic fans of Hannibal crave is alive and well.

Set to hit theaters December 12 via Roadside Attractions, Dust Bunny blends fairy-tale dread with visceral horror, following a 10-year-old girl whose nightmares bleed into reality.

The story centers on Aurora, a young girl who believes a monster devoured her entire family. Her only hope? A mysterious neighbor — a professional hitman who claims to kill real monsters for a living. When he agrees to take her case, he discovers her family’s disappearance may be tied to his own bloody past. To protect her, he’ll have to confront assassins, guilt, and the horrifying truth that some monsters aren’t imaginary.

Mads Mikkelsen leads the film alongside Sophie Sloan, Sigourney Weaver, David Dastmalchian, Rebecca Henderson, and Sheila Atim — a powerhouse lineup primed for psychological and supernatural mayhem.
